Spiral Staircases from the Timber Staircase Specialists
Timber Staircase Specialists have been building safe spiral staircases long before they became a modern design trend. As a family-owned business, we are second-generation stair manufacturers who have been working in the industry for over 30 years. During that time we have built thousands of spiral staircases in just about every design and timber combination imaginable.
All of our products comply with Australian safety and design requirements. We can ship the stairs anywhere Australia-wide and we flat-pack them to reduce shipping costs. The stairs are easy to assemble and come with a detailed set of instructions – most experienced DIY-ers will have no problems constructing and installing the stairs themselves, however we also have a network of trusted builders and handymen that we can put you in touch with if you’d prefer to have a professional take care of it for you.
Why Choose a Spiral Staircase?
Spiral staircases are a fantastic-looking stair solution for access to areas where space is limited. Their style specifically suits lofts or spaces with high ceilings or floating levels, however they can be used in a range of other applications as well. Spiral staircases can suit any dimensions down to 1.5m x 1.5m. Although they’re a great option for saving space, it’s not recommended to use them in unsafe environments, such as the only entry to a bathroom, or near where children play. Furthermore, moving heavy furniture that can’t be disassembled can prove difficult or impossible.
Spiral Staircase Options:
All our spiral staircases are made to order and we have a large selection of different balustrades, slats, handrails and knobs to suit your specific needs. We’ll use any hardwood timber provided it can be glued easily. Our most commonly used timbers include:
- American Oak
- Philippine Mahogany
- Spotted gum
- Iron-bark (grey or red)
- Tasmanian Oak
- Queensland Maple
- Silver Ash
While we can supply other timbers, if it’s an exotic or out of the ordinary timber, we may require additional notice before manufacturing; give us a call if you’re unsure.
